In short: Ripen keeps the figures you type in so it can work out your plan. It does not sell them, does not show ads, does not connect to your bank and does not track you around the internet. You can delete your account, and your own book with it, at any time.
Who we are
Ripen (ripen.pro and the Ripen app) is run by N Five Technologies. For anything about your data, write to support@ripen.pro.
What we collect
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address | To sign you in and to send you a sign in code when you ask for one. |
| Your name, if you give it or if Google provides it | So people in a family book you share can see who is who. |
| Your Google account number, if you sign in with Google | To recognise you the next time you sign in with Google. We do not receive your Google password. |
| The money figures and entries you type in: income, spending, loans, savings, dreams and the plan settings | To work out your plan and keep it on every device you sign in on. |
| Which books you are in, and invitations you send or accept | To share a family book with the people you choose. |
| A short, anonymous trail of what the website or app did, such as "page opened" or an error message | To find out why something went wrong. It carries no name, email or account, and anything that looks like an email, phone number, ID number or amount is removed before it is stored. |
| Standard web server logs, which include your IP address | To keep the service running and secure. They are deleted after 14 days. |
We never ask for your bank login, card numbers, PAN or Aadhaar. Please do not type them into notes.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your data.
- We do not show ads and do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
- We do not use your figures for anything except your own plan.
- Our fonts are served from our own server, so opening a page does not send your address to a font company.
Cookies and storage on your device
The website sets one cookie to keep you signed in, and during Google sign in a second cookie that lasts ten minutes and proves the sign in started here. The website also keeps the anonymous trail described above in your browser until it is sent. The app keeps its sign in on your phone. None of these are used for advertising.
Who can see your figures
- Your personal book can be seen only by you.
- A family book can be seen and changed by everyone in it. Members see each other's names. The person who started the book also sees members' email addresses, so they can manage who is in it.
- Anyone holding an unused invitation link can see the book's name and the first name of the person who sent it, and nothing else.
Services we use
- Hostinger provides the server Ripen runs on, in Mumbai, India. Your data is stored there.
- Google confirms who you are when you choose Continue with Google.
- Brevo will deliver the sign in codes we email you, once email sign in is switched on. It receives your email address and the code, nothing else.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and figures until you delete your account. Server logs are deleted after 14 days. Nightly backups are kept for 14 days; an occasional full backup of the server is also kept and replaced as newer ones are made. A deleted account disappears from backups as they are replaced.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app, or on the website at ripen.pro/delete-account. When you do:
- your account, your sign in details and your personal book are deleted straight away;
- a family book with nobody else in it is deleted;
- a family book that other people still use passes to the person who joined it next. Entries you added there stay, because they are part of that family's record, but your name is no longer attached to them.
Your rights
You can see everything you have entered in the app or on the website, change it, or delete it. To ask for a copy of your data or to raise a concern, write to support@ripen.pro from the address you sign in with. We reply within 30 days.
Security
Everything travels over an encrypted connection. Sign in codes are kept only in scrambled form, used once and expire in 10 minutes. Sign in sessions and invitation links are also stored only in scrambled form, so a copy of our database could not be used to sign in as you.
Children
Ripen is meant for adults managing household money. It is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in the app before the change applies to you.
